I've hit the sending limit in TACENZA Mail

New TACENZA Mail accounts made through sign-up can send to a limited number of people, growing with the account's age. The limits and how they reset.

Wait, and the limit frees up by itself. It counts the people you’ve sent to over the last 24 hours, so as time passes, older messages stop counting.

TACENZA Mail accounts made through sign-up can only send to a few people at first. This stops spammers who get in from hurting the server’s reputation with Gmail and Outlook – which would affect everyone’s mail.

The limits

Account age People per message People per 24 hours
First day 10 20
First week 25 100
After that 50 500

Every recipient counts, including Cc and Bcc. A message to 3 people uses 3.

Accounts added by a company’s admin don’t have these limits.

The messages you might see

  1. “A message can go to at most … people … This one goes to ….” Your message has too many recipients for your account’s age. Send it to fewer people, or split it into several messages.
  2. “You can send to … people a day …, and have … left for now.” or “…and have reached that for now.” You’ve reached the daily limit. Wait until earlier messages are more than 24 hours old.

The same limits apply when you send from a mail app on your phone or computer.

Other reasons mail won’t send

  • “Your account can’t send mail right now.” Your account is suspended. See My TACENZA Mail account is suspended.
  • An attachment failed. Remove files that failed before sending. See My attachment is too large.
  • The From address isn’t yours. You can only send from your own address, your aliases, and shared addresses you’ve been given.
Note

TACENZA Mail is in development and sign-up isn’t open to everyone yet. These limits may change before it opens.
