I'm logged out every time I reload
TACENZA Chat logs out on a reload unless "Stay signed in on this device" is on. How to turn it on, and other reasons you might be logged out.
This is on purpose: by default, TACENZA Chat keeps nothing that could open your account in the browser, so a reload or reopening the page logs you out. To stay signed in on a device that is yours alone:
- When you log in, tick Stay signed in on this device, or
- Turn it on in Settings › Devices › On this device.
With it on, reloading or reopening Chat keeps you signed in until the session ends or you log out. Sessions end after 12 hours, so after a longer break you’ll need to log in again.
Only use this on a device nobody else uses. Until the session ends, anyone who can use that browser can open your account. Logging out removes what was stored.
If you don’t see the option, your browser doesn’t support the storage it needs. Private or incognito windows usually don’t keep it either.
Other reasons you’re logged out
- “You were logged out after being inactive.” Log out when inactive is on in Settings › Security Center. Choose Never, or a longer time.
- You changed your password. Changing it logs out your other devices. So does setting a new password with your recovery key, which signs you out everywhere.
- This device was signed out from another one. Someone with access to your account – or you – chose Sign out for this device in Settings › Devices, or signed it out to make room at the device limit.
- “Your session ended. Log in again.” The session ran out, for example after 12 hours.
- You cleared your browser data. That removes the stored session. The browser also counts as a new device afterwards.
If you didn’t sign a device out yourself and don’t recognise the devices in Settings › Devices, change your password straight away and make a new recovery key.
